Study Plan
ICT Master’s degree programme
You can apply for the Master’s degree programme in ICT after completing your Bachelor’s degree in ICT or after completing a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject.The degree awarded is Master of Science.
Students can choose from the following three areas of specialisation during the Master’s degree programme:
- Embedded Systems
- Networks and Digital Communication
- Media Processing Systems
There is a catalogue of mandatory modules and additional mandatory elective modules for each area of specialisation (10 ECTS EEI and 10 ECTS Computer Science). In addition to these modules, students complete the following:
- elective modules from the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Computer Science,
- elective modules from the Faculty of Engineering or Faculty of Sciences
- elective modules from all subjects offered by FAU,
- a lab course,
- a seminar,
- a Master’s thesis with a presentation and
- a research project.
The following table contains all modules, the number of semester hours (SWS) and ECTS credits, the allocation per semester and the type of assessment for students of batch winter semester 2022/23 on.
