Sheethal Bhat, with a Bachelor’s degree from SJCE, Mysore, India: As a student returning to academia nearly 15 years after my Bachelor’s degree and working in Industry, I chose the IuK program in FAU due to the flexibility in choosing electives between both the computer science and the electronics department, and the number of electives allowed which is higher than other programs in FAU. This allowed me to focus on Medical image processing as my core area of Interest. I did my thesis with Siemens-Healthineers and currently continuing my PhD in the same project. I am happy that all my coursework has helped to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge, particularly in Deep Learning which is useful on a daily basis in my current research. |
